The Making of a Collection
it all began as a quiet winter project.

The Floral Collection
This winter was particularly harsh: feet upon feet of snow, bitter cold temperatures, and short, dark days. With the outside world so uninviting, I turned inward. The quiet ritual of arranging still lifes became a refuge, and over time took on a life of its own.
What started as a seasonal experiment became an exploration of light, form, and the enduring beauty of botanicals.
For centuries, flowers have meant different things to different societies. Each flower is a symbol: love, remembrance, hope, loss, resilience. They are living poetry, expressing more than just beauty.
Cyanotypes emerged during the Victorian period, becoming one of the earliest photographic processes used to document botanical specimens. Bringing these two traditions together felt both natural and exciting.
Collecting the flowers & creating the mood.
This collection is taking shape, one flower at a time.
Botanicals and cyanotypes share deep Victorian roots.
Each piece in this collection was lovingly created by hand using the historic cyanotype process. Emulsion is hand-coated onto vintage paper dating back to 1947, exposed to UV light, and carefully developed in cold water.
Presented in a vintage round frame, a quiet nod to Victorian portraiture, these works invite you to see each bloom as an individual, with its own personality, presence, and story.
Delicate and ethereal, the deep Prussian blues reveal textures and details that often go unnoticed, transforming familiar blooms into something timeless and contemplative.
“I'm enjoying the slow process of experimenting and bringing my visions
to life. Every flower presents a different challenge in how best to represent
its unique qualities.”
