Poetry

My preferred writing form is the senryu, a style of poem similar to a haiku, but which deals with human nature rather than Mother Nature. These short poems focus on the human condition, making readers think about life from a new perspective. Sometimes the writings are funny, sometimes tinged with sadness, and at other times they are simple declarations of what it means to be human in the modern world.

FAILED HAIKU

    the struggle

    to start each day

    the pendulum swings
