Blue shadows show that even the most common scene can hold a special beauty. This scene, from a back street in Mystic, Connecticut, was captured on film, the negative enlarged and used to create a limited edition cyanotype.
Cyanotype is an old photographic process in which a mixture of chemistry is coated on paper and exposed to sunlight, turning blue upon developing. My method uses film negatives to create one of a kind photographs. This is a signed and editioned unframed print. Also available in a fine handmade kozo paper.
